| The Under 9’s FC & Lions, The Under 10’s Lions & Tigers, The Under 11’s A and The Under 13’s all made finals day on Mondays after two hard days in 'sunny' Bognor.
Unfortunately, The Under 9’s drew each other in the semis, with Glebe FC winning a tight match 2 – 0.
The Under 10’s Tigers also fell at the final hurdle, narrowly missing out of the final on penalties.
The remainingfour teams all made the finals and I ’m sure detailed reports will follow, but here's a brief summary.
The Under 13’s succumbed in the final, 2 – 0. (It's fair to say they played 'their final', winning a hard fought semi with just 10 players, after losing their goal-keeper following a somewhat questionable decision!
The Under 11’s wrapped up their age group with a convincing 2 – 0 win in the last match.
The Under 10’s lost on penalties after having 4 chances to win the shoot out.
The Under 9’s Glebe FC finished the day on a high, with an extra time win, after coming from behind with just four and half minutes left, to win 3 -1.
This has been the largest and most succesful tour in the history of the club, with more than 400 travelling to Bognor and with 14 of the clubs 17 teams taking part at every age group from 7's to 13’s.
Dont miss out on next years tour!
Book early! Details will be posted here in late August.
