U13A Glebe v Erith & Belvedere Kent League

The snow came down but didn't settle so this final Kent League match for this season was on for a 2pm kick off at The Beaver Wood Club in Chislehurst. The afternoon was bitterly cold and the pitch wasn't very good but the game was on. The game kicked off and neither side impressed their dominates in the opening stages of the game. Glebe started to attack more but E/B opened the scoring when the Glebe linesman stated that the ball had crossed the goal line 1-0.

Glebe kept on going and finally made the brake through Elion got onto the end of a through ball inside the box and planted the ball into the back of the net 1-1. Glebe had to win against the league leaders and so give themselves a chance of winning the league. The match was end to end until Seedy received the ball outside the penalty area and went on a superb ran beating a number of the E/B players before rounding the goal keeper and slamming the ball into the net 2-1 half time.

The score stayed this way until about 10 mines to play when two E/B players were in an off side position, the ball was taken by one of them and slotted into the net. The Glebe linesman had is flag up but was ignored 2-2. Glebe then dug in and withmines to go the ball from a Glebe move on the left of the box, spun across Michael who beat the E/B keeper with a good shot 3-2.

The final whistle went and a great victory for the Glebe who gallantly went back to their hut while E/B went back to one of their dressing rooms. So this leaves the table over turned with one of three teams being able to win the league.

COME ON YOU GLEBE! What a great season!

Glebe v Dartford

Today saw two top of their leagues sides compete for the Geerings Cup. The two sides came out to a round of exuberant applause and after shaking hands with each other and the match Officials lined up to do battle on the pitch. The game was taken by the scruff of the neck by the Glebe side, who attacked the Dartford side and within minutes of the kick off just put the ball wide of the post. It was to stay that way until half time came when both sides finished 0-0.

The second half saw Dartford get into the game but again it was Glebe making most of the attacks until Dartford scored via a ball that the referee said was over the line and that the lines woman flagged and then put her flag down again at the first stage of the attack 1-0. Glebe kept on attacking but great defending by the Dartford Centre backs kept the score at 1-0, until late in the game the ball was spread out across the Dartford penalty area to Elion who turned onto the ball and rammed it home 1-1.

At this point I could see another Glebe victory in site but within minutes of the restart Dartford scored again 2-1. Glebe didn't give up and kept on attacking but to no avail 2-1 being the final score.

I have got to say that the Glebe squad performed superbly today, constantly attacking Dartford but it wasn't to be and the better team on the day, as one of the Dartford coaches stated, didn't win!

Today Glebe were up against Fisher Athletic in our 12th League match. The game was at home and the conditions were perfect.
Right from the start Glebe showed that competing for the ball is the most important part of the game and through this then punched a through ball through to Michael who slid the ball home 1-0. Michael then made it 2-0 after again latching onto a through ball and sweetly pushed the ball past the keeper.

The third came from a Kieran free kick. The position was outside the area but a superb free kick went over the top of the wall and the Fisher keeper 3-0. Elion then emerged onto the score sheet, Seedy got the ball out on the right and made good ground before passing it to Michael who ran into the penalty area and chipped the keeper but only for the ball to hit the cross bar, but as the ball rebounded out Elion met it with his head 4-0. Half time.

The second half carried on in much the same way as the first with great competion for the ball. Elion made a run down the right and entered the penalty area. Two Fisher players slid into Elion but he managed to pass the ball out to the left, right on que for Michael to strike a forocus shot which the keeper got a hand to but couldn't keep it out 5-0. Seedy then got onto the score sheet by meeting a kieran corner with a blinding header 6-0.

The seventh came from a free kick inside the Glebe half which caught out the Fisher back line. The long ball over the top fell for Elion who powered in on goal the keeper made a good save but Elion stroked in the rebound 7-0. The last Glebe goal came when Seedy received the ball inside his own half and beat a Fisher player and then went on a run which took him into the Fisher penalty area, he then crossed the ball perfectly for Elion to control and finish 8-0. Fisher then scored making the final score 8-1.

Well done boys!

This Kent League match was played tonight with the co-operation of the hosts Corinthians. The condition of the pitch was perfect as was the surroundings.

Glebe kicked off and straight away started to play well and eventually went 1-0 into the lead after Elion received the ball out on the left and then came sprinting into the box with the ball and slotted the ball past the keeper.

Then came the near misses and the posts! The ball just wouldn't finish in the back of the net and so we allowed Corinthians back into the game when they scored the equaliser 1-1.

Then they scored again 2-1 and thats the way it stayed, us having near misses and hitting the wood work until the last 5 minutes of the game when Kieran took a corner, the ball went to Seedy, whose control enabled a perfect cross for Michael to ram it home 2-2. In the last minutes Glebe carried on going forward but to no avail, so the final score was 2-2 witch was most disappointing considering the previous result of 8-2, but thats football!

Sunday 10 February 2008

Welling Utd were our hosts today for this first Kent League Match. The day was good even though the pitch wasn't.
Glebe kicked off and straight away were on the attack. Chance after chance went by until Elion finally switched on and after some good work out on the right, finally shot across the keeper to make it 1-0. Kieran then made it 2-0 before half time when he finished off a good move by Elion.

The second half started in the same energetic way as the first half did but all of a sudden the ref missed an off side, so Scott came racing off his line and pole axed the Welling Utd forward, PENALTY. The Welling Utd penalty taker was their left back who could hit the ball but Scott made a great save keeping the score at 2-0. Elion then got his second via a superb header after great build up play from the midfield 3-0. Dominic then made it 4-0 with a great low drive from outside the box. Seedy then made it 5-0 followed by Michael who finished off the day 6-0.
I thought we played well today and was sorry to hear that Ben would be out for the next three weeks via a foot injury received at School.

Still the show must go on so thats why Lee has strengthened the squad. So onto the next match which is on Thursday night at Corinthians.

COME ON YOU GLEBE!

Sunday 3rd February 2008

Today Glebe U13A were up against Blackheath Wanderers in this Kent League fixture. It must be said that Blackheath were up for this match and that we didn't look like we were!

The game kicked off and we were struggling from the start against a well organised B/W side. It was obvious from the start that we were lacking in the centre midfield position, but against the play Michael found himself one on one with the B/W keeper but chipped the ball over the cross bar. B/W then scored 3 goals while we missed our chances. Then Elion got onto a through ball and made it 3-1. But again B/W converted their chances to make the half time score 5-1.

The second half saw Glebe push a bit harder with some changes on the pitch, but we were only to score one other by Elion to make the final score 5-2. It's a shame we couldn't keep the score at 3-1 at half time and finish our chances today, as this would have made the game a lot closer and we could have snatched the game.

So out of 3 games with Blackheath Wanderers we have won one and Blackheath have won two. We still have the 4th game to play at the end of the season which might decide who comes where at the end of the season.

Come on boys get your heads up and forget this loss and lets be up for our next game!

Sunday 27 January 2008

Today took us to Tonbridge Angels for our away match this season. It was a cold but good day for football. The previous game was day one of the Kent League which finished 7-1 to us, so the return we thought, would be tougher.

The game kicked off and straight away Glebe were on the attack. Andrea playing in a centre midfield position, opened the score when he got onto the end of a good corner from Joe and slotted it home 1-0. Ben then made it 2-0 after receiving a ball out wide on the right, he ran into the box and fired a shot across the keeper.

Seedy then got the third when he dispatched the ball from a rebound 3-0. Half time. Tonbridge to be fare tried to play some attractive football but were always muscled out in the last third of the pitch.

The second half saw Glebe go 4-0 into the lead when Seedy onto a through ball and just muscled his way in on goal and blasted it in. Elion then done exactly the same when he got onto a through ball and with his electric pace sprinted clear and made it 5-0. Ben then got his name onto the score sheet for the second time when he received the ball from a cross from the left and rammed it home 6-0. The game was now over but we kept on going. George and Rhys solid at the back. Joe finding players with his left boot at will.

Alex getting forward and firing in a good long range shot which the keeper done well with. Seedy then scored his hatrick via a great through ball his pace and muscle took him into the area and as the keeper came out, chipped the ball over and into the net 7-0. Elion then got his name onto the score sheet again after getting onto a fine through ball from new player Bertie and made the score 8-0. The ninth came from an own goal when Michael made a great run down the left and crossed the ball at low level only for a Tonbridge defender to ram it home 9-0. Michael then finally got his name onto the score sheet after a chip from Ben fell to Michael who finished it 10-0.

Elion then got his deserved hatrick after Seedy made a great run down the right and floated a fine ball in for Elion to make it 11-0.

11-0 win away from home was an infactic win, bear in mind i thought we didn't get out of second gear for most of the match.

So onto Blackheath next match so keep it going boys!

Sunday 20 January 2008

T oday took us to a home Semi Final match against Erith & Belvedere. The day was fine and everyone was up for the game. E/B kicked off but Glebe very quickly got into there stride. George won the ball and spread it wide to Ben. Ben took the ball into the box and shot across the keeper 1-0. E/B then equalised 1-1. Seedy then received the ball out wide on the right and after some good work, took the ball into the box and spread the ball across to Elion, who's shot was blocked. It landed at the feet of Dominic who's shot was also blocked but it feel at the feet of Kieran who rammed it home 2-1. It was soon 3-1 after Seedy twisted and turned and eventually layed it of to Michael. Michael returned the favour when he put Seedy through who guided the ball across the keeper 4-1. Seedy then got the ball from a goal kick and turned and ran at the E/B defence who backed of until it was to late 5-1 and half time.

The first half saw Glebe play some electric football.

The second half was going to be an up and down and nearly out time!

E/B came back into the recogning 5-2. And then 5-3. From Scotts goal kick Elion received the ball and ran straight at E/B with pace and finished 6-3. Then it was 6-4. Then it was 6-5. Then a penalty 6-6! Then with hardly any time left Erith & Belvedere went into a 6-7 lead. My God it looked like we were out until Kieran took a long throw and a penalty was given to Glebe. Up stepped Elion who showed no nerves 7-7.
Extra time went by with no scores. We missed our first but E/B missed two of there's so the final score was an unbelievable 4-3 to Glebe on penalty's.
The first half was a pleasure to watch but the second Half was a nightmare.

Thank God for Sunday evenings!

Sunday 20 January 2008

The U13A squad faced Corinthians at home today. The pitch was in good condition despite the rain on Friday.
Today the supporters saw a Glebe squad that moved and passed the ball quickly and precisely. We witnessed some excellent football from all of the boys.

After some good build up play from the defence, Elion opened the scoring 1-0. Corinthians then equalised 1-1. Seedy made it 2-1 with a fierce shot from just inside the penalty area. Elion then got his 2nd after good work by Seedy out on the right, delivered a fine cross which Elion tapped in 3-1.

What was pleasing was the attacking runs and passing moves from both full backs Alex and Harrison supported by the midfielders Dominic and Ben who covered when necessary and linked up and made excellent attacking runs on and off the ball themselves. The central defence was George with his normal consistent cool under pressure self [ havn'tt seen him not have a good game yet!] partnered by Rhys who likewise was his normal strong in a tackle coupled by superb pace. Scott in goal had a good game especially when he was tested by a very high ball which dropped from out of the clouds which he caught and made it look easy, even though it wasn't!

Kieran scored the fourth 4-1, with a fine free kick from distance and again had a very good game, he spread the play out all over the pitch and put in some good tackles. Michael finished off the half with a great run, which took him to a one on one with the Corinthians keeper, he showed great feet and went around the keeper to make it 5-1.

The 2nd half saw Andrea, Reg and Joe enter the game and also had fine games. Joe showed that his injury problem is hopefully on the mend with a crunching but fair opening tackle. Again his passing and coolness on the ball were top notch. Reg got stuck into his well known ball winning tackles and disrupted the Corinthian midfield. Andrea had a solid game by winning the ball in the air and on the ground when called on, and partnered Rhys at the back while George moved up into midfield.

The 6th goal came when Seedy received the ball inside the penalty area at waist height and with his side to goal turned and in one movement volleyed the ball into the top left corner of the net 6-1. Dominic scored the next goal when he received the ball out on the left from Michael and drove a low shot into the bottom left corner of the goal 7-1. Seedy finished the Glebe goals for the day, the ball was played to him after good build up play he then took the ball into the penalty area and as the keeper came out and went to ground Seedy dinked the ball over him making the score 8-1. Corinthians to their credit kept going and scored their 2nd goal making the final score 8-2.

I thought the whole of the Glebe squad played some fantastic football today but i must also mention that the Corinthian squad battled from start to finish, notably their goal keeper who i thought gave a great display and unfortunately had to retire from the game late in the match and was replaced by another good keeper.

Next match is the Geerings Challenge Cup Semi Final against a very good Erith & Belvedere team.

Finally the whole of Glebe welcomes new signing Bertie to the squad. He has shown everyone what he can do in training and has fitted in well with the squad. I am sure when he gets his chance on the pitch, will give the expected 100%

Glebe 3 Vs Fisher Athletic Glebe 2

Today saw us carry on our unbeaten record in the Kent League with this away fixture against Fisher Athletic. The day was cold and the pitch hard and bumpy. The surface wasn't good as it had been cut up in a previous match and was partly frozen.

The friendly rivalry between the two clubs due to our past links was still there, even though we hadn't played each other since the pre season Glebe Tournament at the beginning of last season.

Glebe started the brighter of the two sides and went 1-0 up. Seedy received the ball and powered his way into a shooting position on the right of the penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot which flew into the net Fisher then equalised 1-1, only for Andrea to put us back into the lead once again. A corner put in by Kieran, was attacked by Andrea who ran on and met it on the volley 2-1. Fisher then equalised again 2-2. Michael got the winner for Glebe when he took the ball and beat the defence and drove an unstoppable shot from the edge of the penalty making it a 3-2 result.

The match today was hampered in my opinion by the poor state of the pitch. Playing football on the ground was hard for both sides, as the ball wouldn't run true on the rough hard surface.

Both teams played a sporting game and mixed afterwoods outside the dressing rooms which is always good to see.

Fisher Manager Grant Mason, had kindly invited the Glebe team and parents to the Fisher Xmas party at their Wilstonians Ground. I unfortunately couldn't attend, but a big thankyou goes out to Grant and the Fisher Club for the invite from all at Glebe.

So now we all go into the Xmas break on a positive unbeaten league run. Training as usual next week, no let off!

Next game, league again, Blackheath again and away again for the third time this season.

So keep fit and well and start 2008 as we left 2007, unbeaten!

Merry Christmas and a happy 2008

Tonbridge Wells Vs Glebe U13's A (25 November 07)

Glebe U13A were away to Tonbridge Wells today for our 5th Kent League match this season. I couldn't be at the game but understand from Lee that the squad performed well and were 6-0 up at half time.

The second half saw changes on the pitch and the final score being 9-2. The goal scorers were Elion with 4, Dominic with 2, Michael with 1, Kieran with 1 and Andrea with 1. This game leaves us 6 points behind Erith & Belvedere but with a better goal difference of 6. If we win our 2 games in hand we will be level on points with a 6 plus better goal difference.

Keep it going boys

U13's Kent v Blackheath Wanderers (Geerings Cup 1/4 final 18 november 07)

Glebe found themselves back at Blackheath Wanderers today for this 1/4 final clash in the Kent League Geerings Cup. After last weeks disappointment the boys wanted to put in a good performance and so progress in a cup competition that is new to them.

Lee made some team personnel changes, along with the fact that we were nearly back to full strength with the only injury outstanding being Joe.

As was the case last week Glebe started the brighter of the two sides but again found themselves a goal down. But the difference between this week and last week was that we were battling and trying to play the Glebe passing game. The pitch was supposed to be of Kent League standard but as like last week wasn't in the best of shape in my opinion.

Elion got Glebe the equaliser with a well placed goal into the top right hand corner of the net, after moving through the middle of the B/W defence.

It was evident to see that the boys wanted this game. Glebe then went into the lead via a run by Michael through the B/W defence, he found himself with a one on one with the B/W keeper but calmly slotted the ball home.

Again like last week B/W scored late infact this time with a minute to go.

Credit again to B/W for fighting to the finish.

So it was extra time and up stepped Seedy, who after beating two players struck a sweet shot which flew in and took Glebe to the semi finals and a fixture with Erith & Belvedere, which will also be an interesting game!

Can't wait

U13's v Blackheath (London Cup 11 Nov 07)

The London Cup holders lost their first match this season and bowed out of the competition today in the last 20 seconds of full time away against last years beaten finalists Blackheath Wanderers. Again this was another hard game that we had to play in this competition.

It would be fair to say that Blackheath were the better side but it was cruel to lose with only seconds remaining. Still it was a wake up call showing that you need to play every game at this level, as though it was a cup final.

Glebe started the brighter of the two sides but went behind at the time against the run of play. We then got back into the game after the B/W goal keeper blocked successive shots by Joseph, Elion and finally Dominic's, which flew across and out from the goal at waist height but was brilliantly volleyed into the net by Ben.

Glebe then went into a 2-1 lead at half time after Kieran unleashed a long distance shot which the B/W keeper parried across his goal but was rammed home by Joseph.

The second half saw Glebe struggle. The loss of Alex, Joe and Michael all injured during the game didn't help, but we have a good squad so this cannot be an excuse. Credit must be given to B/W who put us under immense pressure.

B/W then equalised and kept pegging Glebe back. It looked like extra time was to come but confirmed by the Ref,with 20 seconds to go B/W scored the winning goal.

To lose this game was a disappointment but the way we played was even more disappointing. But things can be put right next week when we again are away to Blackheath Wanderers, this time fighting for a place in the Kent Geerings Challenge Cup semi final.

Glebe v Erith & Belvedere. Kent League 4th November 07

Glebe U13's played hosts to Erith & Belvedere today in a top of the table clash. The Glebe U13's kept their unbeaten run going but only just!

E & B started well, but I would say against the run of play Glebe scored the opening goal. A good move started by Alex at right back via a long pass to Elion, who beat a defender on the right edge of the penalty area and crossed the ball. Michael couldn't control the ball as it sped across him but it fell to Dominic who arriving at the back of the area slotted it home.

During the first half Kieran and Seedy retired from the game through injuries that were picked up prior to this match.

E & B then equalised [the Glebe lines man as I understand missed an off side, sorry boys! ] and then went a head 2-1 at half time.

The second half saw tactical changes by Glebe which got us back into the game. Michael levelled the scores with a long range strike but again we allowed E & B to dictate the game and score, making it 3-2. Michael then retired from the game injured and George who showed great team spirit and had been unwell since Friday, had to go off through illness.

Dominic then scored his second of the game with a great run finishing with a superb shot from distance making it 3-3 final score.

In my opinion our football today was nowhere near the kind of football that i have seen this talented side play so far this season. We looked like we weren't up for the game. We were second to the ball most of the match and were static far to often, not moving into space and making ourselves available to receive a pass, we didn't look busy and just didn't use our football heads. I honestly think none of the boys played to the high level that we know they can.

Still everyone has an off day, unfortunately today it was nearly all 16 squad members!

Now lets take the positives out of this game. After playing so badly, we still came away from this game with a point and could have won against the league leaders [though only through a game in hand] We are still second with one game in hand and a two goal difference advantage. E & B played very well but must be disappointed that they also only gained one point after such a good display.

We know we can play much much better than we showed today, but can E & B ?

Glebe U13 Kent v Valley Valiants [London Cup]

The Glebe Kent League side today kept their unbeaten record this season intact with a win against the Tandridge League side Valley Valiants in this 2nd round London Cup match. To say these two teams were leagues apart was obvious with the 17-0 score line.

Joseph opened the scoring when he moved across the penalty area from the left and curled a fantastic shot into the net. The 2nd was scored by Elion who after running onto a through ball, slotted the ball wide of the keeper into the net. The 3rd was again scored by Joseph who rammed the ball home after a cross on the right. The 4th goal came via Elion again in the same manner as his first. The 5th was a great solo effort by Left back Harrison. After fine passing and support play, Harrison took the ball around two Valley players before cutting in from the left and letting loose a left foot shot from just outside the box which finished in the bottom right corner of the net. The 6th was by Michael who also finished a good ball in from the right.

The 2nd half saw a further eleven. Ben got onto a cross and slotted the ball past the keeper for the 7th. Elion then got his hatrick after scoring via a corner for the 8th. The 9th was scored when good work by Dominic on the left, gave Joseph his hatrick when he rammed the ball into the back of the net. The 10th came from Joseph again, after a fine header from a good cross by Ben. The 11th was a shot by Michael after the ball was pushed to him by Ben. The 12th was Michael's hatrick. Ben again laid the ball on for Michael who smashed a shot across the goal. The keeper got a hand to it but the strength of the strike took it into the top left of the net. The 13th was a superb swivel and strike by Joseph inside the box which was also his 5th. Ben then got his 2nd and Glebes 14th via a back post header from a great cross by Joe.

Dominic then got a deserved goal for the 15th after receiving the ball just inside the Valley half and then ran at the Valley midfield and defenders, finishing the solo move by unleashing an unstoppable shot. The 16th was Michael's 4th after a quick throw by Alex allowed Michael to take on the Valley defence with a dribbling move which he finished by slotting the ball wide of the keeper. Kieran then got the 17th with his trade mark long distance strike.

This match report due to the large score line mentions mainly the goal scorers but it must be said that those who didn't score contributed largely to this result. Alex with his surging runs and crosses from right back. Andrea with his calm control after winning the ball at centre back. Joe with his telling passing and crosses. Reg whose neat distribution of the ball to Dominic allowed Dominic to continue expressing himself in an attacking role. It was a warm afternoon which was lucky for Scott as he was not called on to save us as he did in the last round with his superb penalty save, though he still kept his defenders in check.

Well done to the whole squad for a convincing and totally professional job today.

Match Reports:

Glebe Under 13's A Kent v Phoenix FC 14/10/07

The U13'S Kent league side kept their unbeaten run going by running up a convincing 6-0 win against Phoenix FC. A shot from outside of the penalty area by Michael opened the scoring. The second was scored after a cross from Dominic was rammed into the net by Ellion who also scored the third.

A fourth goal by Ben finished a fine first half performance by the team.

The second half saw much the same, so the Glebe coaches Lee and Rocky used the half to try out different tactical formations. A further two goals were scored, one by Joe from a header at the back post after a well directed corner by Kieran and the other by Joseph who moved onto a through ball from the trusted left foot of Reg, calmly slotting the ball into the net.

Phoenix at times played tidy football but couldn't compete against wave after wave of Glebe attacks. Fine intricate passing from the defence and then throughout the team wore down the Phoenix side, who were rarely allowed to make an attack. When an attack ensued it was stopped in it's tracks by Alex ,George ,Rhys and Harrison, with Scott keeping goal and directing the defence.

I thought the whole squad performed well. Everyone cool on the ball and using the Glebe passing game to great affect. All took care of their own job, so allowing the Glebe to march on to the next challenge.

Match Reports:

London Cup Interwood v Glebe 30/09/07

This was another nail biting and mentally exhausting game for us supporters to watch but was also a tremendous spectacle of football between two sides who were a credit to their Clubs.

The game was an away fixture in East London again for the three seasons in a row finalists and past two seasons holders Glebe.

Interwood FC who have gone far in this competition in past seasons started well and within the first five minutes opened the scoring via a through ball which caught Glebe cold. Their pacey forward out stripped the defence giving Scott in goal no chance.

Glebe then started to pressurise Interwood. Good work down the right by Ben who delivered a tantalising cross was left by CD who knew he was in an offside position, the ball finished at Dominic who slotted it home to equalise.

The two sides battled it out in good spirit which could have easily been the opposite as the League Referee was having a difficult game. Glebe then went a head. CD like all the Glebe team worked tirelessly and pressurised an Interwood defender shielding the ball back to his Keeper, he managed to out muscle the defender and latched onto the ball as the advancing Keeper came out stroking it into the corner of the net.

Phew half time!

The second half saw Kieran and Ellion retire from the game injured and were replaced by Joseph and Andrea. This is the reason why Glebe are such a strong Club. The whole sixteen man squad is filled with talent, when a very good player is replaced for whatever reason a very good player comes on. We win as a squad and on the odd occasion, lose as a squad.

Interwood equalised in the second half and then went into the lead 3-2. But you don't have a record like Glebe by dropping heads, back we came with some great inter passing accumulating with an equalising goal by Michael. The ball was whipped in from the right, Dominic struck a shot which was blocked by a defender, it came back to Dominic who pushed it to his right to Michael who carried the ball across some defenders and fired home.

Final whistle! and extra time!

Extra time was played in the same pulsating tempo which saw no further scoring though their were chances.

Penalties!

Up stepped the Interwood player. Scott brilliantly saved his shot down low. The Glebe penalty takers, Ben, Dominic, George, Alex and CD all fired home well taken penalties leaving the result Glebe 8, Interwood 7. (3-3 AET)

It was a shame that one side would exit the cup in this way as all credit to both sides for a superbly spirited game. Three bookings in the game. One for an Interwood player who was just over zealous catching Alex. One for Ben for the same offence and one other for Michael for voicing an opinion. All it needed was a calm down from the Ref as there wasn't any problem between the two sides.
In fact a great respect for each other was evident at the finish.
