Well on a very wet and windy morning, Glebe Tigers were ready for a very wet and cold game of football, with
the team back after the half term holidays, warm up begins, with a very warm welcome to our assistant manager
MARK who we now have on board, we were rearing to get the game started.Philip was captain and Cameron started
in goal, the game begins, with Glebe taking control of the game,and some great defending by James, Max, and Jack,
Orpington Rovers managed to score an own goal,so we were off, lots of great passing and lots of shots on target came a great
goal from Philip, Glebe were 2 up. Glebe were strong right across the board, with James defending and tackling second to none,
came a great goal from Orpington Rovers, Glebe pressed on with Cameron saving a lovely shot from Orpington Rovers only to crash into the goal post which left him sporting a black eye, now thats pure Glebe dedication!!!! With half time well needed, it
was a quick drink and jaffa cake that was well deserved , we were back out there with some changes with James now in goa,
he saved so many shots that were on target i lost count!! with the tigrs very wet there was lots of great passing from Kane and Max, Orpington Rovers were given a well deserved penalty, which bounced off the crossbar, but hey came backwith a lovely

With our first win last week in true Glebe style the tigers were ready for anything. We arrived at the grounds on
what was a cold and cloudy sunday afternoon, the tigers had a warm up and with a late start the game began. With Ben
as captain and Ryan in goal to start, straight of some great defending and tackling from Cameron and Jack before we knew it Kane had scored, making it 1 up at halftime.As second half began with Dion now in goal, tigers were playing really well when
Junior Sports scrambled for the ball they scored, making it even. Back to the centre Glebe were determined not to let that happen again. Then came some great saves by Dion, Daejon then took control of the ball, stormed down the pitch right past the keeper
another great goal for Glebe, by now it was raining, the boys were soaked, but that did'nt stop them, with the final whistle
another great win for Glebe u8 tigers, second win in a row, well done to all, you really deserved that win.2-1 to Glebe

It was somewhat a cold morning as we arrived at our home ground to set up and play Monotype fc, as we had lost
to them just last week playing a friendly. But the tigers were very much up for it and readyto even things out.
After a short warm up, the game began with Kane as the tigers first captain and philip in goal to start.Some great
defending from Cameron as always, also lots of shots on target, but their goal keeper had'nt got any smaller
from last week. Kane was given a free kick, so planted the ball took 3 paces back, true beckham style, left footed
it and smashed it in the back of the net.GOAL, just what they needed, the tigers were delighted and as for the parents well if only someone was filming, i'm sure you could of you tubed it !!! Back to the game, by now it was half time with the tigers 1-up.
Second half we made some changes with Kane in goal, then some great tackling with Glebe having great control of the ball,
Monotype did'nt stop trying to score, their determination gained them a goal.Kane saved several more shots from Monotype,
then another great goal from Max scoring from the halfway line,then Philip our smallest player scored when the goal keeper came to far out and Philip put it in the back of the net, making it 3-1 to Glebe. So we done it our first win!!!

IN GOAL-DAEJON AND BEN
Our first match as a team all the boys were really looking forward to the long drive down to the monotype ground.
we arrived and was greated with a very warm welcome from their manager. We done some prematch warm ups, and the game
began.All boys played very well, Daejon saved a stinger of a shot with his forehead and yes we could see that it really hurt,
so well done!! Kane's left foot is something that was well needed up and down the pitch and as for all the shots, all on target
i might add, from Dion, Ryan, Philip,Max, and Daejon, unlucky but very well done. Their keeper was the BIGGEST we had ever seen !!The defending and tackling from Cameron,Max,James,Jack,and Ben was fantastic and all boys worked really hard. And
yes it seemed the pitch went on forever, i'm sure Kane ran a mini marathon the amount of times he was up and down the
pitch. With the game ending 2-0 to MONOTYPE, the boys were dissappointed but a game well played by all. Once again well done boys MONOTYPE next week!!
